Are you interested in volunteering for Imerman Angels? We welcome anyone who would like to get involved with a great non-profit cancer support organization. There are many ways to help and it’s due to the hard work of passionate and committed volunteers that Imerman Angels continues to grow! Basic (Quick and Easy) Ways to Help:
Time commitment: Minutes or Hours


Promote IA via social media - any messages posted online helps IA raise awareness directly to cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers


Refer to IA 3 people you know affected by cancer via email, text, social media or over the phone

Tell your doctors, nurses, social workers, patient navigators (any health care professional that might interact with cancer fighters, survivors or caregivers) about IA - bring them a brochure. Need more brochures? Contact the IA office!

Post info at work, the gym, a building lobby, a bulletin board - fliers, business cards in a resource area, table tents in the cafeteria (note: materials are available at the office, or you can ask the staff to email you some)


Attend a New Volunteer Orientation
Time commitment: 2 Hours


Why? Volunteers that attend trainings are then eligible to volunteer for Imerman Angels in a variety of ways including:

Join a Committee or Special Project
Time commitment: Days or Weeks or Months


Committees develop strategies and tactics to achieve various IA goals and oversee implementation of various projects. Examples:


Special Projects occur from time to time and help advance the Imerman Angels mission and might require a special skill set. Past examples include:

Special Positions involve a great deal of responsibility and a more in-depth and lengthier commitment to Imerman Angels. Examples include:
