Imerman Angels is the largest and strongest network of survivors for 1-on-1 cancer support on the planet, to our knowledge. Daily we provide connections for five, ten, or sometimes one dozen individual cancer fighters! EVERYDAY! We are inspiring and encouraging these cancer fighters to keep fighting, and our growth rate is exciting!
I also want to thank the hospitals, oncology nurses, social workers, doctors, and cancer partners (ie. LIVESTRONG) for all their help! Their referrals are key to our success!
Please continue to spread the word about Imerman Angels, telling anyone and everyone you can, and we will continue to provide much needed assistance! Please encourage both cancer fighters, survivors and caregivers to call us – we are here to help and make this cancer world a better place!
I wish each of you wellness, and happiness, and sincerely thank you!

With the help of Cohesive Group Consulting, a local non-profit consulting group, Imerman Angels is currently undergoing strategic planning. Since January 2009, 20 highly qualified and dedicated individuals have made a commitment to volunteer their time and expertise for a 6-month period to come up with a roadmap on how to accomplish our 2013 goal - anyone diagnosed with cancer in the United States will have free access to a survivor within 24-hours of being diagnosed. |

Rynell had the good privilege to attend Life Beyond Cancer, a four-day retreat for women cancer survivors and oncology nurses focusing on the many components of advocacy and wellness through and beyond the cancer experience. While the retreat was an amazing experience, Rynell was able to meet other women who survived cancer and also spread the word about Imerman Angels. The retreat was held at the Miraval Resort in Tucson, AZ. |

Jonny recently traveled down to Houston, TX to attend the 9th Annual Conference for Young Women Affected by Breast Cancer which was presented by Living Beyond Breast Cancer, Susan G. Koman for the Cure and the Young Survivors Coalition. This conference is the only international event focused on the unique needs and issues faced by women diagnosed before age 45. Created by young women for young women and their caregivers, the conference has grown to one of the largest meetings in the world of women with a history of breast cancer!

The Toy Drive was a huge success as a sold out event with over 700 people in attendance. Thank you to Le Passage, our generous sponsors and those who volunteered their time to make this event possible. We are very pleased that a portion of the proceeds raised allowed Imerman Angles to purchase a Wii Mobile Fun Station which will be dedicated to Children’s Memorial Hospital’s oncology ward to provide entertaining relief to children during their difficult hospital stays. We would like to thank cancer survivor, Katie Iannitelli Blossfield for speaking at the event by sharing her wonderful testimonial on how Imerman Angels helped to encourage and support her during her cancer journey. |

"When I began to reach out, my angel appeared to me as beacon of light on the horizon for hope; that not all was lost and it is possible to fight and survive this situation. It was a very invigorating and reassuring experience that I am sure will help carry the day going forward. I began my first round of 33 days straight of Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy. I am stronger to meet the challenge as a result of the support of family, friends and the Imerman Angels."

Imerman Angels would like to extend a special thank you to Nike for their generous donation of $35k as they thrilled the crowd with the announcement at the Imerman Angels 3rd Annual Toy Drive held at Le Passage in December. Nike supported the Imerman Angels’ marathon team by providing each runner with a pair of the Nike+ Running Shoes, Nike+ Wristband, and running jerseys. Imerman Angels also participated in the Nike Charity Challenge and with the help of our marathon runners and other supporters, we were able to successfully log over 100,000 miles! Thanks for your continued support, Nike! |
