John May has served as a member of the Imerman Angels Board of Directors since the organization’s inception. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Imerman Angels and serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. His Primary role is developing Imerman Angels long-term strategic plan while handling most of the organization’s finance functions.
Mr. May also serves as President of Aluminum Shapes LLC and President of Signature Aluminum Canada Inc. Both companies are part of the Signature Aluminum group, one of the fastest-growing and largest aluminum extrusion companies in North America serving the automotive, electrical, building products and renewable energy markets. Mr. May is also Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Delair Group LLC, one of the leading pool and fence manufactures in the world. Prior to that he served as President of Kidron, the leading manufacturer of refrigerated trucks in the U.S. Prior to Kidron, he held positions of Chief Operating Officer, Vice-President, and General Manager in a variety of industries. Mr. May is an active real estate investor and an “angel” investor for several start-up and early stage growth companies. John attended East Carolina University and received a Bachelor of Business Administration with honors.
Dr. Greg Roslund has served as a member of the Imerman Angels Board of Directors since the organization’s inception. He is Chairman of the Outreach Committee.
Dr. Roslund, was born and raised in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He is an Emergency Physician at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Indiana. Dr. Roslund develops relationships with cancer patients and their caregivers on a daily basis. He serves as the Preceptor for the Emergency Medicine Rotation at The Indiana University School of Medicine – South Bend. Dr. Roslund is also an active member of The American Medical Association, The Society of Academic Emergency Medicine, and The American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Roslund received a B.A in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan and his M.D. from Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Brad Keywell has joined the Imerman Angels Board of Directors in December 2008. He is currently providing insight and expertise for the 2009 Strategic Planning Committee.
Mr. Keywell, is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of MediaBank LLC, a technology firm providing integrated procurement systems, advanced analytics platforms, and innovative trading functionality to the advertising and media buying industry. He is the co-founder of Echo Global Logistics LLC, an enterprise transportation management firm headquartered in Chicago, which provides transportation procurement, management, and optimization services across all modes. He is a founder and Principal of ThePoint LLC, an innovative application that utilizes the web and dynamics of social networking to allow people to solve problems that they could not solve on their own.
Mr. Keywell is the Managing Partner of Meadow Lake Management LLC, an investment and advisory firm. Among Meadow Lake's holdings are IRIS WorldGroup, a Chicago-based information services and analytics firm with delivery centers in India, and Archer Corporate Services LLC, a marketing fulfillment services firm. Mr. Keywell received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Michigan School of Law (1993) and his Bachelors of Business Administration with honors from the University of Michigan (1991). He is a member of the State Bar of Illinois and the Michigan Bar Association.
Jason Canner has joined the Imerman Angels Board of Directors in April, 2009. His addition will provide insight about medical outreach and bring an oncology background to the group.
Dr. Canner, was born and raised in Michigan, and was brought to Chicago in 1998 to pursue his medical career. Following pediatric residency, he moved to Columbus, Ohio to complete a pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. His wife Janie and him recently settled back in the Chicago area. Dr. Canner is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Advocate Hope Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, IL and has quickly become involved in both hospital and local outreach projects. His passion for kids, their families and the support that they deserve will complement our mission.
Dr. Canner was involved with the development of a sibling support program at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and worked with the Columbus Blue Jacket’s Foundation ‘Hats for Heroes’ program to benefit children with cancer. In Chicago, he has become involved with Make-A-Wish, Imerman Angels and is busy at home with his first baby, Max.
